Maya Davis is an interdisciplinary artist from Rochester, NY. She earned a BFA in Textile/Surface Design with a minor in Art History from the Fashion Institute of Technology. Combining her textile background and techniques learned and enjoyed from high school, Maya creates mixed media images and fiber art. She is inspired by familial stories and depicting Black people as she sees them in the present and the future.
