Frey holds a PhD in Theatre and Performance Studies and is currently a postdoctoral researcher and professor at the University of Minho (Portugal). He has been supported by institutions such as Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian, DGArtes, and Fundação GDA, and has received the Acquisition Prize at the International Art Biennial of Cerveira.
