Shannon Rodriguez (she/her) is a Puerto Rican and Irish makeup artist originally from Chicago, now based in New York City and working internationally.

She began her career as a mixed media artist and was introduced to makeup artistry by a close friend. Through this transition, she discovered that makeup involved color theory, light, and texture in much the same way as her fine art practice. In her work, Shannon plays with the contrast between perfected skin, color, shine, and texture, while maintaining a raw, authentic, and approachable feel.

Shannon works across beauty, commercial, education, fashion, private client, and editorial projects. She is also a regular guest educator at Chicago Makeup School.

When she’s not doing makeup, Shannon enjoys traveling (she’s visited over 14 countries), watching horror movies, and spending time in art museums..
