Description

“Remains” is the reanimation of the costume I wore in my days as a performance artist. The pink stitched morphsuit has moved through multiple mediums as my practice has evolved; from painting to live performance, to video work, and back to paper as a zine, ultimately assuming it’s final resting place in the form of a soft sculpture.
Like much of my work “Remains” is autobiographical. It’s journey as an object is traceable through the stains left behind by years of wear, portraying the beverages, nicotine breaks, dirt, sweat and beauty products that accumulated in my performances

Medium

Soft-sculpture; old morphsuit, recycled stuffing, plastic nails, nail varnish, sharpie, buttons, beads, polyester thread, cola, lipstick.

Dimensions

Variable dimensions, approximately 90cm x 35cm x 35cm
