About the Maker

Meet Gisele Claudia Ntsama

Milan, Italy

Gisele Claudia Ntsama was born and raised in Cameroon and has been living in Italy for the past 13 years. She studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna, where she earned a Master’s degree in Fashion & Textile Design. Her work centers on potentially sustainable fibers, craftsmanship, and the creation of custom-made, one-of-a-kind pieces.

She works extensively with hemp fiber, believing it is important to promote this natural material for its minimal impact on the environment. Her practice is guided by the slogan: “LET’S PROTECT THE PLANET.

Her brand, founded was founded 2019 after completing her studies in Italy. Alongside her personal project, she worked as a textile designer for Ratti and gained significant experience in Valentino’s design office, consolidating an approach that merges industrial know-how with artisanal experimentation. Her brand blends African heritage, sustainable craftsmanship, and contemporary couture.

Gisele Ntsama is part of S|STYLE - DENIM LAB supported by KERING a project founded in 2020 by Giorgia Cantarini, journalist and stylist, an independent platform dedicated to emerging creatives who want to work with sustainable criteria. The 2025 edition, in collaboration with KERING MIL, Kering's Material Innovation Lab, focuses on denim and responsible water management, in line with Kering Water's Strategy for a net positive water impact by 2050 with fabrics provided by Puro Denim.
