Description

Queerness is inherent to human nature. In my work, performers are bound to the objects of the Earth. The fabric visualizes the air, creating a fluidity between the performer and their environment. The connections create tension: who is of the other? The movements of between the two are improvised, with each performer exploring the material live. Just as queer identity is an endless process of discovery, so are the movements of this piece. The piece's visual language becomes a stage for the performer to explore their narrative.

Queerness is an inevitable human virtue. We are in every family on every corner of the earth. When authoritarians erase us, our rediscovery always follows. When pinkwashing is used to justify state violence, we reject it. We are as intrinsic as the Earth itself, they can not kill us without killing themselves.
